Description Case: Size not provided -Approximated at 50-55mm diameter. A silver, three leaf, polished, keyless open face pocket watch, the inner cover marked in french for "guaranteed steel" with gilt fluted pendant and oval bow placed at the twelve position. There is cuvette over the movement. Dial: An unsigned White enameled dial with Arabic hour chapter with silver dotted half hour markers, open minute ring with arabic markers placed every five minutes along the dial edge. There are four subsidiary dials: date @9, month of the year @12, day of the week @3, continuous seconds and moon phase @6. There are fenestrated gilt Louis XVI hands. Movement: An unsigned Swiss bar movement with club tooth straight line lever escapement, exposed ratchet and crown wheels with parallel small finger bridge and curved center wheel bridge, bimetalic balance wheel with Swiss type regulator marked in French for faster and slower. Condition: Sever oxidation and pitting to the case. Dial with multiple hairline fractures (impacts the value). Movement appears clean and functional. Date Circa 1890-1910 |
